Hello, I'm Katie! I’m a 35-year-old American early childhood educator living in Oxfordshire with my husband. We moved to the UK in 2018 for his PhD at the University of Oxford and have truly loved making this area our home.

My Experience
I trained at university in the United States and worked as a Primary School Teacher for five years, teaching Kindergarten/Key Stage 1–2 equivalent classes before relocating to the Oxfordshire area.
I have extensive experience working with children from infancy through Year 6, including time spent in nursery settings with babies and young children, as well as nannying roles supporting families in their homes. I also have experience working with special needs children mainstreamed in my classrooms. I am comfortable providing sole-charge care and assisting with age-appropriate routines, meals, and light household tasks related to childcare.

Professional Experience:
• 5+ years as a Primary/Early Years classroom teacher
• Extensive experience supporting infants and young children
• Strong understanding of child development, routines, and age-appropriate care
Additional:
• Full UK driving licence
• Sole-charge experience
• Excellent parent communication
• Updated DBS and happy to obtain Paediatric First Aid if required
