About Me
Hello! My name is Anna. I have worked as a teacher of kids and teenagers for years, and I have also babysat on multiple occasions. I have taught English as a Foreign Language for 3 years, mostly teaching infants as young as 4 years old, as well as primary school children up to teenagers. I have also been teaching Sailing and worked as a camp leader for 9 years, where I have worked with kids, teenagers, adults, pupils with physical disabilities and children with SEND. I have also done volunteering work helping out kids in risk of social exclusion in my hometown, Barcelona.
My Experience
Beyond my experience as an English teacher and a camp leader for kids and teenagers, I have also babysat toddlers and kids between the ages of 2 and 12. I consider myself a friendly and attentive babysitter who loves spending time with children and helping them have fun. I enjoy playing games, telling stories, reading together, and coming up with creative activities that spark imagination and reduce screen time to a minimum. I aim to create a happy, fun and welcoming space where children feel safe, engaged, and free to be themselves. I speak English as well as Spanish, Catalan and intermediate French.
My Qualifications
I hold a BA degree in Philosophy and a MA degree in Linguistics. I obtained the CELTA diploma, an EFL teaching qualification, in 2022. I got my camp leader formal qualification in 2019. I became a fully qualified Sailing Instructor in 2021.
My Availability
At the moment, I am very flexible and almost fully available.
