About Me

Hi, my name is Edie and I’m 22 years old. I live in Poole and I work as a schools officer within Dorset Police.
I’m a responsible and caring babysitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I have experience caring for kids of different ages and needs, and always aim to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment. I’m patient, reliable, and happy to follow parents’ routines and preferences. I enjoy helping with night time routines, homework (unless it’s maths as that’s not my strongest area of expertise!), reading stories, and keeping children engaged with age-appropriate activities. I take safety seriously and always make sure children feel comfortable and cared for.

My Experience

I have worked as a school’s officer for over two years, providing support and education to young people from ages 6-17.
I cared for my niece twice a week from 6 days old to 4 years old.
I babysit a family friend’s child who has down syndrome from 1 years old in the evenings.
I have looked after a family friend’s daughter who is aged 8 years old, taking her to the park and other fun activities.

My Qualifications

I am first aid trained, in which I get a yearly refresher.
I have a Level 4 teaching qualification which has been signed off by City & Guild.
I have an enhanced DBS which was completed when I joined Dorset Police as a School’s Officer.
I have won awards in the force for ‘Best Demeanour’ as well as recognised as being ‘an incredible women’ as part of International Women’s Day 2025.

My Availability

I work a shift pattern, whereby week one I finish at 4pm. Therefore to allow travel time, my availability can be from 5:30. My week 2, I start at 12pm, meaning I can support in the mornings. However always happy to be messaged as my shifts tend to vary dependant on my workload. I also have every other Monday off, and work every other Saturday, meaning some weekends I can do, and some Mondays I can do all day.
