About Me
Hello, I am Charla! I am 24 years old, and married to my lovely husband Matthew. We live in Henley-on-Thames.
I grew up in a busy household and was the eldest of three girls in my family, so I had a lot of practice looking after children from a young age.
I am very family-oriented, warm, and friendly. I have always loved children and have a genuine interest in childcare, as I believe we are raising the future of our world, which requires attention, care, and lots of love.
I have a strong interest in nutrition, cooking, and baking. I have completed various professional cooking and baking courses, and particularly enjoy home cooking. I am a very keen crafter and love playing and creating, which fits perfectly with working with children. I am also a pet lover and have experience caring for both cats and dogs.
My Experience
2026 • I am currently working as an after-school nanny on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Henley. I am available on the other days, so please feel free to contact me.
2022 - 2024 • I worked as a private English tutor for 2 years. My pupils were aged 7–12. I taught them English as well as supporting them with their homework. At times, I also enjoyed babysitting my pupils when their parents were busy.
In addition, I have experience caring for younger children through my family. As the eldest sister I regularly looked after my own sisters, as well as cousins and the children of family friends.
My Qualifications
I’m proud to have recently completed a Paediatric first aid course (February 2026) and DBS checked.
I am keen to improve and widen my knowledge & hands-on experience with children, and I am actively working towards obtaining childcare qualifications. Hope to work with you soon!
