About Me
My name is Aoife McCann and I am a 20 year old student living in Edinburgh. I have always been enthusiastic working with children, beginning with caring for younger siblings, and later volunteering with after school childcare clubs.
Outside of childcare and studying, I enjoy reading and embroidery in my spare time, as well as playing viola and singing, which provides an opportunity for engaging learning activities with children. I have a lovely little Kings Charles Cavalier called Lola, who I will happily talk about at any opportunity. I am a friendly and reliable person who values safe and supportive environments for children.
My Experience
My relevant experience comes from working within a variety of caring roles. I volunteered with an additional needs after school club, working with a variety of needs and age groups, designing games and engaging in interactive play to create an inclusive environment. I have also coached children in Gaelic football across age groups, helping to build new skills and a confidence in trying new things. While at school, I was selected to be a first year prefect, which involved designing games, giving talks and tours, allowing me to support them through new school experiences. As mentioned previously, I have experience with musical instruments, and would be able to supervise and aid music practice. I achieved 6 A*s and 3As at GCSE, and would be available to tutor where needed.

This year I have quite a flexible timetable, and would be available Mornings, after-school and evenings
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
£11 an hour for nannying
£15 an hour for tutoring pre-GCSE level
£20 an hour for tutoring GCSE
Additional fee of £2 an hour for urgent late-notice nannying (less than 24 hours before)
Additional £2 an hour for more than 3 children
