About Me
I am a nature loving stay at home mum (previously a special needs teacher).I have a spacious home but much prefer being out and about. I have a 7 year old and now a 6 month old. My calm manner is something that everyone i meet comments on and I would like to put my patients of a saint to good use! Looking for long or short term placements, just happy to help. Deeply passionate about play led and child led learning (whilst still having rules and boundaries). I have a home filled with toys for all age ranges but as I said before, if you’re happy I would much rather get outside!
My Experience
Besides being a mum of two myself, I have work in so many environments that gives me skills and ability to baby sit for others. I have worked in 3 schools, 2 being special needs. I have worked my way up from teaching assistant, to 1-1, to a teacher. I did a child care qualification in upper school and college and my placement was within a nursery. My first job was even a children’s entertainer for parties, so Iv done my fair share of different environments!
My Qualifications
From my pervious job I am first aid trained and Makaton trained (little rusty). I did a child care qualification after I left school but after joined schools as I had a particular passion for helping children with special needs.
My Availability
Once Iv got my own daughter to school (8:45) I am free till I have to collect her at 2:45. However I’m more than happy to have one or two children join me to pick her up and they can still stay and play in the afternoon/evening. I’m happy to take requests for weekends but not always garenteed as we spend a lot of time visiting family.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
