About Me
Hello! My name is Mayla. I’m 27, originally from Mexico City, and I’m looking to connect with one or more families to help care for their little ones with love and attention. I’m highly energetic and playful, while also being very attentive to children’s emotional needs, making sure they feel safe, supported, and understood. I adapt my care to each child’s personality and enjoy encouraging their interests through activities such as baking, arts and crafts, creative play, storytelling and movement. I aim to create a nurturing environment where children feel comfortable and free to be themselves.
I am also an excellent cook and happy to cook for the children or the whole family with delicious and nutritious meals.
I can do light housework related to the children and also look after pets if needed.
My Experience
I was a full time nanny to three children for over a year. On top of that I have over 10 years of experience babysitting, tutoring and volunteering at children’s organisations and homes.( including experience as a live in volunteer). I can confidently look after children ages 2-13, always making sure I cater to each child’s individual needs.
My Qualifications
I am fully bilingual (English and Spanish).
My studies are in theatre and film which has given me strong communication skillsa and emotional awareness (even with kids that struggle to verbalize how they feel). It has given me a calm and adaptable approach to working with children and has made me excellent at engaging kids through creative, imaginative play. (Without the use of screens!). It has also allowed me to experience situations of high pressure and learn to remain calm and flexible even in the middle of chaos.
I am also absolutely willing to get a DBS check and take a paediatric first aid training course if it will help the parents feel more comfortable.
My Availability
I am currently available any time of the week and looking to fill up my schedule, working around 30-40 hours with different families, on set days, although I am willing to take on a full time role for the right family. My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)
Fees can be negotiated according to specificities of the job (cooking, housework, etc), number and ages of children.
