My Experience
I have informal childcare experience caring for my neighbours’ children, aged 10 and 12, on a regular basis while their parents were at work. During this time, I was responsible for ensuring their safety, supervising homework, preparing simple meals, and keeping them engaged in fun and age-appropriate activities.
I built a positive and trusting relationship with both the children and their parents, and the children always felt comfortable and happy in my care. The parents were very satisfied with my reliability and communication, and I really enjoyed supporting the family and spending quality time with the children.
My Qualifications
I have recently completed my MSc in Management from Durham University and have recently moved to Gateshead from Durham. Prior to this, I completed my undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management and worked as a hospitality professional before starting my MSc.
My academic and professional background has helped me develop strong communication, organisation, and responsibility skills, along with the ability to remain calm and attentive in fast-paced environments — all of which I bring into my childcare approach.
