My Requirements

Native English-speaking early yearseducator for bilingual family in Highgate
London.
Experience with EYFS/nursery/receptionage children preferred.
Focus on language development througrplay, reading,outings,and conversation.
No heavy academic tutoring.
Mandarin speaking a plus but not required.
Part-time initially.

We are looking for a long-term full-time nanny / English developmental nanny for our 13-month-old daughter.

We are looking for someone who is:

1. A native English speaker and British

* With a natural and clear British accent
* Able to provide a consistent and authentic English-speaking environment

2. Extremely patient, responsible, clean, and emotionally warm

* Emotionally calm and gentle with toddlers
* Highly emotionally responsive to a child’s feelings and needs
* Warm, kind, caring, and nurturing by nature
* Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible
* Clean, organised, and hygienic
* Able to provide stable long-term support for our child’s development

3. Experienced with babies and toddlers

* Strong experience caring for babies and toddlers, especially ages 1–3
* Understands toddler developmental stages and emotional needs
* Able to encourage language development and learning naturally through:
* play
* reading
* music
* conversation
* outdoor activities
* Skilled at building confidence and communication through interaction and play

4. Able to help establish healthy routines and behaviours

* Support healthy daily routines and structure
* Assist with meals, naps, hygiene, and day-to-day care
* Help with future potty/toilet training
* Plan age-appropriate, engaging, and developmental activities
* Use gentle but consistent guidance to encourage positive behaviour and boundaries

5. Emotionally nurturing and able to create a sense of security

* Able to create a calm, safe, loving, and emotionally secure environment
* Skilled at building a secure attachment with toddlers
* Patient with tantrums, teething phases, emotional ups and downs, and separation anxiety

6. Positive, active, and genuinely enjoys being around children

* Enjoys reading, singing, interactive play, and outdoor activities
* Truly enjoys supporting children’s growth and development
* Someone our daughter will feel happy, safe, and comfortable with every day
