About Me
NOT TAKING ANY NEW TUTEES AT THE MOMENT. Profile live to enable current tutee families to leave references. Thank you.
I am a qualified primary teacher offering tailored academic support across the full primary curriculum (P1–P7 / KS1–KS2). Alongside core subject tuition, I specialise in supporting children experiencing school anxiety, low confidence and additional support needs. My approach is nurture-led and relationship-focused — I believe that all behaviour is communication, and that children learn best when they feel safe, understood and engaged.
Through my work as a class teacher, I am aware that many families are navigating long waiting lists for support services such as CAMHS or specialist referrals. While I do not provide therapy or clinical intervention, I offer structured, anxiety-aware educational support that can help maintain engagement with learning during periods of uncertainty or transition.
What I Offer:
• Full primary curriculum support (P1–P7 / KS1–KS2)
• Maths and literacy confidence-building
• Anxiety-informed tutoring for school avoidance and emotionally sensitive learners
• SEN and additional support needs (ASN)
• German language tuition for all ages
• Support with “learning how to learn” and executive skills
• Transition support (starting school, moving stages, return to school)
• Bespoke homeschooling programmes, particularly during travel
My Approach:
• Calm, structured and predictable sessions
• Incorporating children’s interests to build engagement
• Close communication with parents
• Experience working alongside schools and multi-agency teams
• Psychology-informed practice (currently completing MSc in Psychology)

Kristina is absolutely amazing with Mayar. She understands Mayar’s individual needs so well and always finds ways to teach her through her interests, which really helps keep her motivated and engaged.
She brings along lots of great resources and activities, and manages to keep Mayar engaged throughout the whole session while still making sure they get plenty of work done. Kristina is patient, understanding and makes learning enjoyable for Mayar. We’re so happy to have found her and would highly recommend her!
