My Summary

My Experience

I've recently started volunteering at Leeds Refugee Forum, where they run a homework club every Tuesday for Years 1-6. I help the children go through Maths and English problems for an hour and a half.

While working as a summer play worker, I had responsibility for up to 40 children aged 5-12 for 8 hours at a time. I facilitated play, planned creative activities, and supervised sport and mealtimes. I've worked at the summer camp for the past two summers.

As a teaching assistant at a senior school, I had sole responsibility for children aged 13-18 during cover lessons and in the boarding houses. In the classroom, I assisted learning and managed behaviour. In the boarding houses, I was a pastoral support for the girls, as well as ensuring they were in bed for their allotted bedtime. I also ran creative and sporty extra-curricular clubs, which I had to plan every week. I worked six days a week for a full school year.

My Qualifications

I have 11 GCSES, 3 A*-A A-Levels and I am in my final year studying BA English and History at the University of Leeds. I have a DBS certificate as well as having completed safeguarding and pediatric first aid training.

My Availability

I am available most days of the working week in the evenings and after school. I can sometimes be available in the morning and afternoon, as well as an occasional weekend.
