About Me

Hi! My name is Veronica, I am originally from Italy but I moved to the UK when I was 16. I studied Classics in Oxford and will be starting a Law Conversion in London soon, aiming to become a solicitor.

I am looking for a position as a babysitter for after-school hours or weekends.

I am a very creative person, and love all sorts of crafts (I am currently taking an intermediate pottery course). I used to be a dancer, and love dance/singalongs to musical theatre or Disney songs. I would love to organise DIY or musical activities for your kids!

I did my A-Levels (Maths, Further Maths, Greek and Latin) at Westminster School, and am confident helping with homework for any subject. If you want me to help your child learn Italian or lower-intermediate level Spanish, I am very happy to do so.

My Experience

I have 3 years of experience tutoring 11-14 year old children in 13+ entrance exams, Latin, and Greek. I organised lesson plans and followed their development, and one of them was even awarded a scholarship at Eton College. Additionally, I have 3 months of experience teaching Italian to adult intermediate learners.

I also volunteered for 2 years as a choir teaching assistant, helping groups of 5 kids aged 6-8 follow along to music and organising rehearsals, concerts, and craft activities.

I have some experience babysitting an 8 month-old child, and often looked after my younger 7 and 10 year-old cousins.

I can provide references for all of these.

My Qualifications

I have a DBS check.

Language certifications: C1 and C2 Cambridge English certificates, DELE B1 certificate, TEFL accredited

My Availability

I am available anytime in July and August 2026. Starting September 2026, I will only be available after school and at the weekend. I am available for emergency evening/overnight babysitting.

My Fees

  • Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

I charge 15£ per hour for babysitting; this includes school pick-ups, activities, help with homework. If your child needs more specific tutoring (i.e. I need to prepare lesson plans for them) then my rate is 30£ per hour.

My emergency (i.e. less than 24 hours of notice) babysitting fees are 30£ per hour.
