My Experience

Although I am newly registered as a childminder, caring for children has been a part of my life for many years.

My mother has been a childminder for over 25 years, so I grew up in a busy childcare environment surrounded by children of different ages. Throughout the years I regularly helped out, interacted with the children, and gained first-hand experience of how a high-quality home-based childcare setting operates.

I also spent many years babysitting for family and friends, developing my confidence in caring for children and supporting their individual needs.

More recently, becoming a parent myself has given me valuable daily experience of supporting a young child's development, learning, and wellbeing. Having my own daughter has strengthened my understanding of the importance of patience, routine, communication, and creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

I am committed to continuing my professional development and providing the highest standard of care and education for every child in my setting.

My degree developed a range of skills that supports my childcare practice, including creativity, communication, planning, and designing engaging learning experiences. I particularly enjoy providing arts, crafts, imaginative play, and creative activities that encourage children to express themselves and develop confidence.

I am committed to ongoing training and professional development to ensure I continue providing a safe, stimulating, and high-quality learning environment for all children in my care.
