About Me
I am a 22-year-old with a real passion for childcare and creating fun, engaging experiences for children. I have always been fascinated by early childhood development and hope to continue my education in this field. Currently I am qualified to an SQF level 2 and have a PVG. I am also in the process of registering with the SSSC. I recently completed a degree in Performing Arts, which has given me a range of transferable skills such as creativity, communication, confidence, patience and the ability to engage, support and entertain children through games, storytelling, and imaginative play. I am a warm, reliable, and fun-loving person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and supporting their curiosity about the world. I love encouraging creativity, play, and learning in a positive, safety-first environment, and I always aim to make children feel comfortable, happy, and cared for.
My Experience
I currently work in a private nursery in Stirling as an Early Years Supply, going between each of the three rooms (0-2, 2/3 and 3+).
I have a range of experience from spending two months abroad nannying a 3 month old, placements at nursery’s, facilitating youth theatre with young people aged 5-17 and recently working as a Christmas Elf.
Over the past six years I have also taken part in voluntary roles involving children and families, which has helped me develop unyielding patience, responsibility, and a genuine understanding of how to support children in different settings from different backgrounds.
My Qualifications
SCQF Level 5 in Early Childhood Education and Childcare (SQF LV 2 equivalent)
My Availability
I am available at all times except early mornings as I will be relying on public transport until I get my license. Transport is so unreliable- I never want to leave families stuck for childcare and late for work!
