My Summary
About Me
Hi, I'm Eden! I love working with children and have a BA(Hons) in Early Childhood.
I am passionate about children's rights, health and well-being and have a five-year education in this subject area. My education has also provided me with a deep knowledge of play, forest school, Waldorf education and child development.
I am also a tutor and happy to assist children in their education, and am educated in the Montisorri, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia approaches to early childcare and education.
I am a creative person and proficient performer - I am a skilled artist, both in realism and abstract and am happy to tutor in art. I am also an actress who has performed in a play at the Bristol Old Vic, and I am happy to teach acting and confidence-building.
I love cooking and cleaning, and am happy to help with household chores. I have been told by many that I am a great cook and know many recipes off by heart, such as sweet potato curry, coronation chickpea sandwiches and am very good at making sushi. I worked in the kitchen at wholefoods market as a chef in London full-time for a year and a half, where I greatly improved my cooking skills.
I speak basic Hebrew and can read and write it. I am happy to work in Hebrew-speaking households.
I love nature and understand how important nature is for early childhood development, and am happy to take the children to the forest, nearby woods and parks.
And of course, I want to work closely with every individual parent I work with to make sure you are happy with everything and know what approaches you would like me to focus on when looking after your children. Every child is different, and I want to work with you to ensure your child's unique needs are met.
Thank you for reading!
My Experience
I am currently Bank staff (supply staff) at a mainstream Nursery in Clifton and have worked here for 4 months. Here I work with babies from 7 months old to children 4 years old.
I am also currently a supply teaching assistant in a special needs classroom at a primary school in Eastville. Here I work with children with autism who are in year 3 to year 6.
While at university, I had a placement of a few months at Bristol Waldorf School, where I worked in their kindergarten with children aged 3-5.
I also had a placement at Redcliffe Nursery, where I helped with their forest school.
I volunteered abroad and was an early years practitioner at Pashut LeHov in Israel, a Waldorf nursery where I worked for a month.
