About Me

I offer private tutoring for primary-aged children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in English (writing, grammar and speaking and listening), phonics, reading, primary maths and science, including targeted preparation for SATS, phonics and times tables tests.

I also provide support for children with SEND and EAL, with lessons tailored to individual needs so that learning feels clear, positive and manageable.

I am a fully UK qualified primary teacher with over 20 years of experience, and I provide calm, structured and encouraging lessons that help children build confidence, make clear progress and become more independent in their learning. I use clear explanations, humour where appropriate, and a supportive approach linked to children’s interests to help learning feel engaging and achievable.

My Experience

I have taught children across KS1 and KS2 in both the UK and international settings, with experience across the primary curriculum. Over the years, I have developed particular strength in English, phonics, reading, primary maths and science, helping children strengthen skills, fill gaps in understanding and grow in confidence.

My background includes extensive work with children who need adapted teaching, additional structure, or a more carefully paced approach. This includes significant experience supporting EAL learners and children with SEND, breaking learning into manageable steps and helping children feel successful rather than overwhelmed.

My Qualifications

- Bachelor of Education (1st Class Honours) – UK
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Additional TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) training
- Enhanced DBS Check (Registered on the Update Service)
