My Summary

My Experience

I have over 20 years of extensive, personal experience in special needs care. Most of my work has involved being in the families homes, preparing healthy and balanced meals, coordinating school runs and afterschool activities, encouraging creative play, confidence building and positive communication whilst balancing love and care with fair and constructive discipline practices.
My ethos is to work with children as if they were my own and offer the high level of care that I would expect for my own children.  Whilst the chilren are in my care, they are my main focus and my ultimate aim is to provide an environment that enables them to develop and grow positively and with the level of support necessary for each individual child.
I feel it is crucial to work closely with parents/carers to ensure good communication and trust between both parties. Although I can't work exactly as the parents do I will endeavour to work within their methods and practices to enable consistency and clarity. Understanding the need for boundaries allows a comfortable space for connected relationships, it also allows the children to be expressive and content and enable the parent to feel confident about me caring for their VIP.

My Qualifications

I have a degree in Business Awareness & Practices and Diploma's in English Literature, Anatomy & Physiology, Reflexology, Thermo-Auricular Therapy and Diet & Nutrition. I have studied and trained in child development and safeguarding, including volunteering in family mediation, working with children who have been separated from their parents and offering intervention and mediation to encourage bonding and positive interaction with the hope of being re-connected and reunited as a functional family.

My Availability

I am available for babysitting services on weekday evenings and all times at the weekends. I will also be available in the mornings for school runs and child care during term time only.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour

My fees are based on one child with a £1 up-charge per extra child. I also do set rates for overnight care services.
