My Experience

I started working as a babysitter at the age of 16, initially helping neighbours and relatives as a way to support my studies. From an early stage, I developed a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine enjoyment in working with children. At 17, I began giving private lessons to a 16-year-old student, supporting him in subjects such as Maths and History. By the age of 18, I was also teaching Latin and Greek to another student, which further strengthened my ability to support young people academically.

Alongside this, I continued babysitting regularly, including overnight care, and built long-term relationships with families I worked with for up to two years. This experience was gained in Barcelona, where I am originally from, and allowed me to develop a nurturing, reliable, and adaptable approach to childcare.

Since moving to Edinburgh eight years ago, I have continued working with families, providing babysitting during summers as well as evenings after work. Alongside this, I work full-time as a support worker, which has further developed my skills in care, patience, and understanding individual needs. Overall, my experience combines both strong childcare and educational support, allowing me to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children of all ages.

My Qualifications

I am currently in my third year of Primary Education, which has provided me with strong knowledge of child development, learning strategies, and classroom management. I speak five languages—Spanish, Catalan, Italian, Arabic, and English—which allows me to communicate with a wide range of families and support children in a multicultural environment.

In addition to my studies, I have experience working with vulnerable children and have taken part in various volunteer projects with children in different countries. These experiences have helped me develop empathy, adaptability, and the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every child in my care.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour

My childcare fees are £14 per hour for daytime care. For evening or overnight care, my rate starts at £20 per hour. I am happy to discuss flexible arrangements depending on your specific needs.
