About Me
Hi, I’m Meghan! I am a friendly, reliable and caring individual with a real passion for working with children and supporting them to feel safe, confident and valued.
I currently study Theology with a focus on Youth and Community work, and I have several years of experience working with young people through my role as a Youth Worker. I love building positive relationships and creating a fun, supportive environment where children can be themselves.
In my free time, I enjoy sewing, creative activities and reading, and I love incorporating creativity into the time I spend with children through arts and crafts, games and activities. I am also involved in my church community, where I serve on the worship team and enjoy being part of a supportive and welcoming environment.
I would describe myself as calm, patient and responsible, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their children are in safe and capable hands.
My Experience
I have several years of experience working with children and young people through my role as a Youth Worker, where I regularly support and engage with a range of ages in both group and one-to-one settings. In this role, I plan and lead activities, support young people emotionally, and help create a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
I have experience organising structured sessions, managing groups, and adapting activities to suit different needs, personalities and energy levels. I am confident in building strong, trusting relationships and ensuring that each child feels valued and supported.
Alongside this, I have experience working in fast-paced, people-focused environments, which has strengthened my ability to stay calm, organised and attentive. I am used to taking responsibility, communicating clearly with others, and managing multiple tasks at once.
Overall, my experience has given me a strong foundation in supporting children in a way that is safe, engaging and responsive to their individual needs
My Qualifications
I have a PVG through my church I have been working with the youth in my church for three years and am currently studying Theology an Youth and community i am about to finish my second year
