My Experience

I currently work as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, where I provide 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs. In this role, I support with learning activities, communication, emotional regulation and behaviour management, ensuring the child feels supported and included throughout the school day.

My experience includes:
• Supporting children with additional needs on a one-to-one basis
• Assisting with learning activities and adapting work to suit individual ability
• Encouraging positive behaviour and using strategies to support emotional regulation
• Supporting daily routines, including transitions, play and social interaction
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
• Promoting safeguarding and ensuring a safe environment at all times

Through my qualifications in Health and Social Care and Childhood Studies, I have also gained knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and supporting children and families in a range of settings.

I am confident in providing a high level of care, support and attention to children, and I always aim to meet their individual needs in a patient and understanding way.

My Qualifications

I hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and a Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies. These qualifications have provided me with a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and supporting children’s individual needs.

I have also completed relevant training through my role in a school setting, including safeguarding and supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

My Availability

I am available during evenings, weekends, and throughout school holidays on a full-time basis. I am flexible with my availability and happy to work around your family’s routine where possible.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
