About Me

Hi, I’m Becky — a warm, caring and qualified teacher with over 14 years’ experience, passionate about helping primary-aged children grow both in confidence and ability.

Based in Biggin Hill, I run Roots & Wings Tutoring from a dedicated, calm learning space in my home — designed so children feel comfortable, settled, and ready to learn from the moment they arrive.

I believe every child is unique, and I tailor every session to suit their individual needs, learning style, interests, and pace. I specialise in small group tuition (maximum 4–5 children), an approach that mirrors the classroom environment on a smaller, more personal scale, helping children build skills and confidence they can carry straight back into school.

I offer engaging, small group tuition in:
• Phonics
• Maths
• English - Reading, Writing, Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG), and Handwriting
• SATs preparation

Parents will receive weekly feedback, along with a monthly feedback email celebrating achievements and next steps for their learning journey. I pride myself on building positive, trusting relationships with children and their families — because when a child feels safe and supported, they truly flourish.

I also offer daytime sessions for home-educated children and those on a flexi-schooling arrangement, including children managing school avoidance.
