About Me
We're a small family based in Sheldon, B26. I run a photography business and need reliable weekend childcare so I can focus fully on client sessions. Our son is 3 years old, a warm, curious little boy who has been looked after at home with us since birth. He'll be starting his first nursery in two weeks, so this will be an important period of adjustment for him as he gets used to new people and new environments. He loves being active, playing outdoors, drawing, and anything to do with cars and animals. Important: he has a nut allergy, so we need a strictly nut-free environment and a childminder who is confident managing food allergies. We're looking for a patient, experienced childminder who is comfortable with settling-in children and can become a consistent, familiar face in his weekends over time.
My Requirements
Looking for an Ofsted-registered childminder (Good or Outstanding rated) within 15 minutes of Sheldon B26, ideally B26, B27, B33, B37, B92, or B25. Care needed for my 3-year-old son on approximately 6 weekend days per month (typically Saturdays and Sundays), roughly 4–5 hours per session between 8am and 1pm. Our son has a nut allergy, a fully nut-free home and experience managing food allergies is essential (please only reply if you can confirm this). Because this will also be his first time being cared for outside our home, we'd like to build up gradually, starting with shorter trial sessions so he can settle in comfortably before moving to full days. Drop-off and pick-up at the childminder's home. Looking to build a consistent long-term arrangement rather than ad-hoc cover. Budget up to £15 per hour for the right person.
