Hello, my name is Susie, I am 33 years old and from Surrey, UK. I am a qualified childcare worker with over 15 years’ experience working in various roles worldwide. Most of my experience lies in sole charge nannying in SW London and Governess roles. My first aid and DBS are always kept up to date. I am a confident driver with my own car and adequate experience driving varied vehicles worldwide.
I am passionate about children’s development and have a natural ability to motivate and encourage independence throughout the day. I thrive to keep everything under control and running smoothly while promoting positive behaviour using a fair but firm approach. This includes positive reinforcement, clever distraction and caring communication skills, ensuring there is never a need to raise my voice. Most importantly ensuring that the children's welfare remains paramount. I am a hard-working person that strives to do a good job, I find it impossible to NOT work hard and accomplish tasks set out for myself. I like to feel like I have donethe best I can whenever I work for a family and feel very proud of my work. I see the importance of communication with parents, I am happy to write a daily diary/update on WhatsApp group etc. Also, to have meetings to discuss anything we need to.
I am married to my partner of 10 years, and we are very proud parents to our daughter, Gracie who was born November 2022. I am recognised to be a very fun, loving and bubbly person and enjoy spending time with familyand friends. I love listening to music and have been to many festivals, we took our daughter to Glastonburyfestival when she was just 7 months old! I also love to travel, from scuba diving with thresher sharks in the Philippines to kayaking beside whales in Antarctica! I have skied since I was 4 years old but recently learnt to snowboard, I am also a very confident swimmer. I grew up with 3 dogs, three terrapins, a rabbit, a duck and a hamster so naturally, I love animals!! Another big passion of mine is organising; whether it be lessons, activities, clothes, cupboards, play dates, travel, purchasing, appointments etc. I am always organising or planning something!
