About Me
Hi, I’m Amy, a qualified Primary and Early Years Teacher and registered childminder based in Blackfen (Bexley/Sidcup). I provide a warm, home-from-home setting where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn. My purpose-built childcare room has its own kitchen and bathroom, alongside a large secure garden where children can explore, play and develop every day. I believe children learn best through meaningful experiences, play, routine and strong relationships, helping them grow in confidence and become school ready.
My Experience
I have experience caring for children from newborn through to primary school age, including several years as a Reception teacher. My background has given me extensive knowledge of child development, the EYFS curriculum and preparing children for school. I have worked with many children with additional needs, including SEND, and pride myself on adapting my care to every child’s individual interests, abilities and stage of development. With small group sizes, every child receives the time, attention and encouragement they deserve.
