About Me
Hi, thank you for visiting my profile. I'm an experienced Nanny and mum of 2, available for short-term or long-term childcare roles. I am comfortable with all aspects of care from school runs, bedtime routines and homework to cooking, housework and managing a busy household... and everything in between. I have experience with newborns all the way through to teens.
I have a calm and warm approach, am very friendly and patient, and believe clear communication, respect, consistency and boundaries to be a solid foundation for working with any family. I am an energetic, fun and caring person who loves seeing children thrive and reach their full potential. I also love animals and am happy working in a home with pets.
I have a creative personality and have experience working as an artist and have taught music (piano, ukulele and singing) lessons to children previously as well. I love crafting, baking/cooking, dancing or singing to music, being outside in the fresh air in all weathers (there's no bad weather, just bad clothing!!), and reading.
My Experience
I have over 20 years of experience in childcare and have worked in a variety of different settings over the years. I have experience of working in placements within Paediatric Nursing on wards from Neonatal Intensive Care to medical assessment units; I have worked in the community supporting 0-5 year old children with hearing and visual impairments; worked in a day care setting with babies through to pre-schoolers; held Nanny roles for private families looking after up to 4 children at a time; have been a home educator for the last 7 years and I have experience of SEN.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 5 qualification (equivalent to a Foundation Degree) in Paediatric Nursing, a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (RQF), I have recently completed the Early Years Child Development Training Course to keep up to date with EYFS framework, I hold a full Paediatric First Aid qualification, an Enhanced DBS check, and have a full clean driving licence.
My Availability
I can be relatively flexible with my availability and am happy to discuss the best fit in terms of days and time to work around your family as much as I can.
Please note that parents will need to register to become an employer (this is a very simple process) in order to arrange PAYE as it is not possible to gain 'self-employment' status from HMRC as a nanny.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
My fees vary from £16 - £20 per hour for daytime Nanny care, £20 - £25 per hour for Night Nanny duties and £14 - £16 per hour for babysitting. These fees vary based on the level and range of tasks required ( e.g. just childcare or housekeeping as well) and the number of children needing care.
