About Me
I'm a caring, patient, and dependable babysitter who understands how important it is for children to be comfortable, feel safe, and feel listened to. I'm happy to help with any job that a parent would usually do (preparing meals, playtime, studying...). I try to be warm and engaging, without forgetting to stay responsible and attentive, so parents know that their child is in good hands.
My Experience
Most of my experience comes from taking care of my younger brother, and I've also spent a lot of time caring for children in my family in Bulgaria, so I'm used to being around kids with different personalities, energy levels (especially this), and needs.
Through that, I've learned to be patient and active as a caregiver, be that through keeping the child entertained, helping them settle down, or making sure they are looked after properly throughout the day.
I'm also interested in human psychology (and child phychology) and so have read books to do with this (such as "Homeschooling your toddler the montessori way" by Serena Ellison.
Along with this, I have some first-aid knowledge, includong CPR, although I don't have a formal qualification for this.
And yes, I like to think the fact that I was once a child myself helps a little too ?.
My Qualifications
I don't have any formal qualifications, however I have gained hands-on experience working at a nursery near my home.
This has greatly improved my communication and supervision skills, as well as creating a safe environment for the children. I believe this gives me a strong foundation in childcare.
