My Summary

My Experience

I have a lot of experience in childcare over the years. I worked in a primary school as support staff across nursery, reception and year 1 in which I fulfilled a variety of roles including general classroom support and SEN 1:1 involving leading bucket time and teaching SEN phonics. I also assisted with supported reading. I found this role incredibly rewarding and found it really enhanced my skills working with children in a patient and empathetic manner. I have worked for a company called Fab Science intermittently for 8 years which involved working as an assistant and leader at children’s science holiday camps (age 5 to 11) and working as an assistant for science workshops in primary schools across all year groups. I also have 4 years of babysitting experience with a variety of ages predominantly between 3 to 9.

My Qualifications

I have a first class degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences and am currently pursuing a masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy. I have paediatric first aid training and have completed safeguard training on multiple occasions so am up to date with current government policies. Through my work in the primary school I was trained in providing Littel Wandle SEN phonics and I was also trained in the ShREC technique to enhance my interactions through play. I also have my full driving license.
