About Me
Hello! My name is Carrera and I am a qualified teacher and Ofsted registered childcare provider, currently supporting a home educated family and running my own educational childcare service. I enjoy using my creativity to find engaging ways for children to learn outside of a traditional classroom setting, with activities and support tailored to each child’s needs.
My Experience
I have 9 years’ experience as a primary school teacher, with a strong background in Early Years and Key Stage 1, and experience teaching children across the full primary age range through home educating. My strengths include phonics, reading, maths and science, behaviour support, and creating engaging learning experiences tailored to each child’s needs while supporting progress in line with the National Curriculum.
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status. 9 years’ experience teaching in Early Years and Key Stage 1, plus 2 years’ experience home educating children across the whole primary age range. Confident delivering the full primary curriculum, with a particular love for teaching maths, addressing misconceptions, and supporting phonics development.
My Availability
Currently available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays for selected daytime sessions, typically during school-day hours and term time. Usual availability is between approximately 8:45am–3:45pm, with some flexibility depending on location and requirements. Best suited to home educating families, primary-aged children not currently in school, or families needing structured daytime support.
