My Experience

I have hands-on experience caring for children through looking after my younger siblings and babysitting for family friends, which has helped me become patient, responsible, and confident in handling different situations. I’m used to keeping children entertained, helping with routines like meals and bedtime, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. Alongside this, I am currently completing an early years apprenticeship, where I work with young children in a professional setting. This has given me valuable experience in supporting children’s development, planning activities, and understanding how to respond to their individual needs. Together, my personal and professional experience has helped me build strong, caring relationships with children of different ages.

My Qualifications

I hold a valid DBS check and am trained in First Aid, which allows me to respond confidently and responsibly in emergency situations. I also have Safeguarding Level 3 training, giving me a strong understanding of how to keep children safe, recognise concerns, and follow the correct procedures. In addition, I hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification, ensuring I am aware of safe food preparation and handling practices. Alongside this, I am currently completing a Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship, which is strengthening my knowledge of child development and professional childcare practice. Together, these qualifications support my ability to provide safe, reliable, and high-quality care for children.

My Availability

I am happy to support a range of childcare needs, including school runs, attending school meetings if required, and taking children to safe, age-appropriate activities outside the home. I enjoy planning fun and engaging activities such as walks, park visits, and creative play to keep children active and entertained. I am also able to assist with light household tasks related to the children, such as tidying play areas, preparing simple meals, and maintaining routines. I am confident in basic cooking and can prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for children when needed.
