About Me
I'm a "professional parent". I believe in working in tandem with a families to provide consistent, compassionate, conscientious care environments for children and young people. I hope to provide peace of mind for parents and carers, and a rich supportive relationship with the families and young people I work with. I love reading, baking, learning, music and drama, boardgames, and play. I have a real, lifelong passion for childcare and a background of crafts and play in my own home as the child of a childminder and teacher. I believe in building confidence, autonomy, and independence in children and young people, learning through play and practise, and facilitate problem solving and social and emotional growth. I provide care with safety, dignity, respect, and well being at its core.
My Experience
I have extensive experience working with children and young people from all ages. I have a passion for learning through play, and have experience within domestic, educational, and specialist settings. I am experienced with SEMH and SEND needs, tutoring, domestic chores, chaperoning/planning/preparing/facilitating activities at home or in the community.
My Qualifications
I do not have any official childcare qualifications, as domestic childcare was on a more casual basis. I have, however, worked in several schools both primary and secondary, as well as nurseries. I am happy to provide my CV if necessary.
My Availability
I am flexible to familial needs, and will accommodate wherever possible. I am open to negotiating weekend and overnight care when required.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
Fees may increase for overnight or weekend care.
Open to negotiation.
