About Me

I am an experienced Early Years Practitioner (almost 3 years in the same school in London) with a Level 2 Diploma in Childcare and a personality that many children love. I have a passion for providing child-led, holistic learning experiences that support children’s overall development. I am in the process of immigrating to the US and so I am looking for short term childcare roles/ flexible work arrangements. I may be available for 3 months at a time upon request so don't hesitate to contact me to discuss.

My practice is centred around creating a safe, nurturing and enabling environment where children feel confident to explore, take appropriate risks and develop independence through play and real-life experiences. I value outdoor learning and I enjoy supporting children through nature-based and sensory experiences such as woodland walks, collecting natural resources, messy play, water play, role play, imaginative games and physical play in local parks and outdoor spaces.

I believe children learn best through hands-on experiences and meaningful interactions. I enjoy planning spontaneous, interest-led activities that promote communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, physical development and expressive arts and design. I also encourage practical life skills including cooking, cleaning, shopping, self-care routines and tidying, helping children build confidence, resilience and independence.

I use gentle and consistent boundaries to support positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing, while encouraging children to express themselves confidently through role play, conversation and social opportunities such as playdates and community outings. I am observant, reflective and responsive to children’s individual interests and developmental needs, ensuring learning remains engaging, inclusive and child-centred.

I would particularly enjoy a live-in nanny role, though I am equally open to live-out opportunities. I am passionate about creating warm, stimulating environments where children feel secure, valued and inspired to learn through play, exploration and everyday experiences.
