Nanny in Lincoln (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
Ofsted Nanny Registration process has been started & once I have an enhanced DBS for son who is now 16 I will re-register as a Childminder too.
I am unsure at the moment what my operating hours/services will be but what I do know is that it will different to your traditional nanny and childminder options, which may not include the Government Funded Hours (due to restrictions & funding rates).
My hourly rate will reflect the tailored service, small ratios or 1:1 service being offered and my work experiences and lived experience.
There will be the option to use Tax-Free Childcare & Universal Credit Childcare Element
Options I am considering:
- Self Employed Nanny service (restrictions as Nannies are normally classed as employed, unless work short term/not set hours)* Which is a service that I can possibly occasionally offer for respite/special occasions before 2027 - I am working elsewhere 9-5 Monday to Friday.
- As above, Events & Special Occasions where an extra pair of hands is needed.
- Childcare for all ages, such as children on a reduced timetable or waiting on suitable SEN provision to be found, parent support for those who homeschool.
- 1:1 or 2:1 childminder ratio for 0 to 2yr olds, able to use working families government funded hours Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.
My Experience
Over 25yrs Health & Social Care Experience, including roles managing parent conflict, supporting supervised contact and physical & mental health services.
Lived experience of parenting children with autism, ADHD and mental health difficulties, ECHP and DLA processes.
Lived experience of military life, postnatal depression, anxiety and diagnosed with ADHD at 41yrs old.
I am passionate about advocating for children & young people and currently work at a Family Help Worker.
I have also previously been a Registered Childminder 2011 to 2014 and 2024 to 2025, I am still on the DBS update service with an enhanced DBS due to working with children.

Diploma Level 3 Children & Young People’s Workforce
NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Care
GCSE’s
