My Summary

My Experience

Whilst I don’t have any formal experience, I have 2 younger brothers, aged 5 and 7, which are quite a handful. I have taken care of them since they were born.
I’ve been responsible for:
- Watching them
- Playing with them
- Cooking for them
- Helping with homework
- Doing multiple activities
- And my least favourite, changing their nappies when they were younger :)

I have babysat for family friends children too. That’s ranging age from 3 to 13. Most of these jobs were at home but there have been occasions where I have taken children out for the day, especially if the weather was nice. At home, I created and organised multiple stimulating activities for the child’s age.

My Qualifications

I have completed my Child Development Certificate (level 2) which I got a grade A in. This taught me many useful skills and important knowledge such as the child’s cognitive ( emotional, language, physical and social ) development, different milestones and also legislation and guidelines. We also had some placements and practicals. This involved going to our local nursery and taking part in the activities and routines. In class, practicals involved practicing a range of responsibilities with a plastic doll. Although it wasn’t 100% representing how it would actually be with a real baby, I learnt a lot.
I also have a clean valid DBS check done from previous studies.
