My Experience

I worked a ski season in Tignes, France with Boubird Childcare, where I provided full-day care for children aged 11 months to early teens. This role gave me a lot of experience working with different age groups, often caring for mixed ages within the same day and adapting quickly to their individual needs.

With younger children, I focused on daily care routines such as feeding, naps, comfort, and emotional reassurance, making sure they felt settled and secure throughout the day. With older children, I planned and led a variety of engaging activities that kept them active, creative, and entertained while also encouraging independence and social interaction.

A big part of my role was creating a fun, safe, and structured environment both indoors and outdoors. We spent a lot of time outside in the snow doing activities like sledging, snowball fights, building snowmen, exploring igloos, going for walks and visiting snow parks. I also organised quieter activities such as colouring, games, imaginative play, and soft play sessions when needed.

Alongside this, I prepared meals and snacks and maintained consistent communication with parents, ensuring they felt confident and updated. I really enjoyed building relationships with the children and becoming someone they felt comfortable and excited to spend time with.

My Qualifications

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Physiology. Through my studies, I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to stay calm, focused, and organised when managing complex information and deadlines. I also built excellent attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently and take responsibility for my work.

My Availability

I am looking for work from June to July, with a possible extension into August depending on plans. I am flexible with my availability and happy to support families with both regular and ad-hoc childcare. I am open to weekdays, weekends, and longer hours where needed, and I do my best to work around each family’s schedule.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)

My rates are £15ph for babysitting and £20ph for nannying, but I’m open to discussing adjustments depending on the specific needs and circumstances of the role.
