Grace
Babysitter in London
My Summary
About Me
I am looking to help families who need an extra hand with their little ones, school pick-ups, or want to enjoy the occasional date night over the summer. I studied French and German at the University of Cambridge and am very comfortable in multilingual homes.
I am friendly, reliable and warm, and I really enjoy working with children, having grown up surrounded by younger cousins. I am based in Chelsea and currently have good availability until September, as I have a long break in my current law degree.
I am happy to help with babysitting, school runs, homework, reading, games, activities, bedtime routines and French/German language practice. I am also very happy to provide references.
My Experience
I have a wide range of childcare experience and am very happy to provide references. I have worked as an au pair in Paris with a seven year old boy and twelve year old girl, which involved school pick-ups, using public transport with children, helping with routines and keeping them entertained in French. I also worked as a summer au pair in Cannes, looking after an 18-month-old girl near the water. I am a confident swimmer and very careful and safety-conscious around children in or near water.
I have many younger cousins and have also done regular babysitting throughout my life, including under 1s. During lockdown, I was the main babysitter for a family in their bubble, looking after their two young girls, both under five. I am confident with no screen playtime, reading, activities, mealtimes, bath time and bedtime routines.
I have also worked as a tutor, so I would be very happy to help with homework, language practice, reading and general tutoring support, or to take on roles that are more tutoring-focused.
My Qualifications
I studied French and German at the University of Cambridge, where I received a First, and I am currently on a break before continuing my legal studies in September. I also have a training contract with a Magic Circle law firm in London. I have previously worked as a French tutor and am very happy to help with homework, reading, language practice, general tutoring support, and organising homework diaries or school routines.
My Availability
I currently have very flexible availability from now until September, including evenings and weekends. I do have some travel plans already booked, so I may not be able to commit to the same days every single week, but I am also very happy to help on a part-time or ad hoc basis.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
My usual rate is £15–£20 per hour, depending on the number of children, location, hours and whether the role involves tutoring, school runs, evenings or bedtime. I am happy to discuss this depending on the family’s needs.
My Documents
- UK Passport (issued 05/02/2020)
