From June 2024 to March 2025, worked with a private family, caring for children in early years and secondary age groups, both diagnosed with autism. Provided full daily living support, sensory regulation and communication assistance for an early years child who was non-verbal and had profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). For the secondary aged child with autism, supported emotional regulation, social skills and consistent, structured routines. Adapted play, learning activities and personal care to individual abilities, used visual aids and sensory methods to support engagement and understanding, and assisted with all daily needs, appointments and therapy sessions.
Since March 2025, has worked with a second private family, supporting children across primary and secondary age ranges with a wide range of needs. Supported a primary aged child with a physical disability, assisting with mobility, transfers and all daily living tasks. Also supported another primary aged child with autism, helping with routines, managing sensory sensitivities and building social interaction skills. Encouraged independence, confidence and age-appropriate development for secondary aged children. Planned fully inclusive activities and outings suitable for all needs and abilities, provided personal care, physical assistance and emotional support, and worked closely with parents and professionals to follow personalised care plans.
