About Me

I am a highly experienced childcare and SEN support professional offering reliable, nurturing, and specialist in-home care for children of all ages and abilities, including babies, toddlers, and children with additional needs.

I provide calm, structured, and responsive care tailored to each child’s individual needs, routine, and communication style. My approach is child-centred and trauma-informed, focusing on emotional wellbeing, safety, and positive development in a secure and supportive environment.

Alongside daytime childcare, I also offer overnight care and respite support for families who need extra help, ensuring children are safely cared for through the night with consistency and reassurance. My aim is always to support both children and families with flexibility, professionalism, and genuine care.

My Experience

I have nearly five years’ experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a specialist SEND school, supporting children and young people aged 4–16 with a wide range of needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning disabilities, communication differences, and behavioural challenges.

Alongside this, I provide private childcare, respite care, and 1:1 and 2:1 support in home and community settings. This includes caring for babies and toddlers, supporting routines such as feeding, sleep, personal care, and emotional regulation.

I also have experience working in nursery care, residential childcare, and family support roles, as well as NHS 111 COVID-19 response work, where I developed strong safeguarding, communication, and risk assessment skills under pressure.

I am trained in CPI (behaviour management and de-escalation), safeguarding children, and have experience using Makaton, visual supports, and trauma-informed approaches. I work closely with families and professionals to ensure consistent, individualised care.

I also provide overnight childcare and respite care, supporting children safely through bedtime routines, night waking, and morning transitions where required.

My Qualifications

I hold a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care and have completed 7 GCSEs (Grade C and above), including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science, Geography, and Health and Social Care.

I have 9 years’ experience working across childcare and education settings, including nearly five years as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a specialist SEND school, supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs such as autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning disabilities, and communication differences.

I have completed training in Safeguarding Children, CPI (behaviour management and de-escalation), and have practical experience supporting children with trauma-informed approaches, EHCP implementation, and working alongside multi-agency professionals.

I also have experience in private childcare, babysitting, and direct payment SEN care, supporting children in home and community settings with tailored 1:1 and 2:1 support.

My Availability

I am fully flexible and available throughout the week, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends, for both daytime and overnight childcare.

I can offer regular ongoing care, as well as ad-hoc babysitting, nanny support, and overnight stays depending on family needs. I am also open to both short-term and longer-term arrangements.

My schedule can be adapted to suit individual families, and I am happy to discuss specific days and times to provide consistent and reliable support.

I am also available for settling-in sessions prior to starting regular care to ensure children feel comfortable and families feel confident.
