My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Lilly!
I am a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic childcare professional who genuinely loves helping children learn, grow, and thrive. I have extensive experience supporting children of all ages and abilities, both professionally and personally, and I pride myself on creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can feel happy, confident, and valued.
My professional background includes working in residential children’s homes, where I have supported children and young people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and additional support needs. Through these roles, I have developed a patient, understanding, and compassionate approach, ensuring every child receives the individual support they need.
I also have previous nanny experience, having worked as a nanny and personal assistant for a family with an 18-month-old little girl. My role involved providing day-to-day childcare, creating engaging and educational activities, supporting development and routines, preparing healthy meals, assisting with bedtimes, and helping to maintain a happy and organised home. Alongside childcare, I supported the family with household tasks and business administration.
Currently, I work within the ambulance service as a FREC 3 Ambulance Care Assistant, providing patient transport, secure transport, and medical cover at events. I also assist with stewarding at events, helping to ensure the safety and wellbeing of attendees. In addition, I volunteer for the NHS ambulance service as a Community First Responder, responding to emergency calls within my local community and providing immediate care and support to patients before an ambulance arrives. These roles have strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and provide high-quality care to people of all ages.
On a personal level, I am a proud auntie to two wonderful nieces, and many of my close friends have children whom I regularly babysit. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, whether that’s playing games, reading stories, getting creative with arts and crafts, helping with homework, exploring outdoors, or simply providing a caring and supportive environment where they can flourish.
I am experienced in supporting with personal care, school routines, appointments, meal preparation, homework, bedtime routines, and encouraging healthy lifestyles. I hold First Aid training and have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child wellbeing.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors. I have two ponies and a horse, and horse riding has been a huge part of my life for many years. I am also a big animal lover and adore both dogs and cats. I enjoy helping children explore nature, stay active, and build confidence through outdoor activities and adventures.
My goal is always to create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential, while giving parents complete peace of mind.
I look forward to meeting your family and becoming a trusted part of your child’s journey!
