About Me
I enjoy working with children because the work is varied and every day is different. I like helping children learn new skills, become more confident and gradually become more independent. It is particularly rewarding to see a child improve at something they have previously struggled with.
I enjoy having a balance between routine and more spontaneous activities. Depending on the child and the day, this could involve organising activities, playing outside, helping with homework or simply joining in with their play.
I also like getting to know children individually and understanding what works for them. Children have different personalities, interests and ways of learning, so I try to adapt my approach accordingly. Building a good relationship with a child and seeing them become more comfortable and confident is one of the things I enjoy most about childcare.
