About Me
I am an experienced educator with over 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience across primary, secondary, sixth form, SEN, and supplementary education settings. My background includes mainstream classroom teaching, private tuition, online learning, and specialist support for students with diverse educational needs.
I hold a PGCE in Chemistry and a BSc in Biochemistry, providing both strong subject expertise and professional teacher training. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with students with SEN and neurodivergent learning profiles, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, and anxiety-related barriers to learning.
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, developing understanding, and adapting learning to suit each individual student’s strengths, challenges, and learning style.
My Experience
I began tutoring in 2001 and have since developed extensive experience teaching students across a wide age and ability range, from primary through to university level.
Over the years, my experience supporting students with SEN and neurodivergent learning needs has grown considerably, allowing me to provide highly personalised and inclusive tuition that supports both academic progress and student wellbeing.
