About Me
Hello, my name is Shereen, and I am an experienced childminder based near Finsbury Park in North London.
I am a proud mum and have over 10 years of experience working with children, including as a nursery practitioner and professional nanny. Caring for children has always been my passion, and I genuinely love supporting them as they learn, grow and develop into confident, happy little individuals.
I would describe myself as a warm, loving, patient and nurturing person. I truly care about every child I look after and strive to create a safe, welcoming and home-from-home environment where children feel valued, respected and loved. I believe every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to thrive in an environment where they feel secure, supported and encouraged.
As both a childcare professional and a parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your child. Building strong relationships with families is incredibly important to me, and I work closely with parents to ensure every child receives the best possible care and support.
My setting is based in my cosy family home and provides a calm, nurturing environment where children can learn through play, exploration and everyday experiences. I care for a small number of children, allowing me to provide plenty of individual attention, personalised learning opportunities and strong bonds with each child.
I follow a Montessori-inspired approach that encourages independence, confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. Children are supported to learn at their own pace through a variety of engaging activities, including sensory play, messy play, arts and crafts, baking, music, dancing, role play, story time and practical life activities.
One of my favourite parts of childminding is taking children out into the community. I believe children learn best through real-life experiences, so we enjoy daily outings and adventures. We regularly attend toddler groups, stay-and-play sessions, library rhyme times, community events and local activities where children can socialise, make friends and build confidence.
We also enjoy visits to local parks, nature walks, museums, farms, soft play centres and seasonal events throughout the year. These experiences help children explore the world around them, develop important social skills and create wonderful childhood memories.
I have completed specialist childminding training and continue to develop my knowledge through ongoing training and professional development. I hold an Enhanced DBS check, Paediatric First Aid certification and safeguarding training and am committed to providing the highest standards of care and early years education.
My setting is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm and offers funded childcare places for eligible children from 1 year to 5 years old, as well as Tax-Free Childcare.
If you are looking for a caring, experienced and passionate childminder who will treat your child with kindness, patience and genuine care, I would love to hear from you.
I look forward to welcoming you and your little one into my setting and supporting them on their early years journey.
My Experience
I have over 10 years of professional childcare experience working with children of different ages and stages of development.
My experience includes working as a nursery practitioner and professional nanny, where I supported children's learning, development and wellbeing in both group settings and family homes. Throughout my career, I have cared for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children, helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills through play and meaningful experiences.
I have experience planning age-appropriate activities, supporting children's communication and language development, encouraging positive behaviour, promoting school readiness and creating safe, nurturing environments where children feel happy and secure.
As well as my professional experience, I am also a parent myself, which has given me an even greater understanding of children's needs and the importance of building strong partnerships with families.
I hold an Enhanced DBS check, Paediatric First Aid certification and safeguarding training and am committed to providing high-quality childcare where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Have only used Shereen's services once, so far.. But will definitely ask her to care for my daughter again.!
My daughter had a great time there and did not want to leave when I came to pick her up. Even if we were going off to a play date with one of her best friends from nursery. So praise from my little one, indeed.!
I get the impression that Shereen is very dedicated to her profession and that she has invested greatly into this career, in all areas possible. You can tell that she is committed to providing outstanding service and as she got her own small child, she got great insite into what a parent is looking for and need, in order to feel safe and happy, leaving their child with a childminder.
Somethings extremely important to me is communication and Shereen has been excellent in this regard, every step of the way. Actually, she is greatly organised and as you can see on her profile on this site, got everything in order and up to date.
What can be quite hard to come by though, is someone who is so organised and at the same time being laid back, flexible and understanding. In the way I found her to be, when I was running very late to drop my daughter off. I'm obviously not saying she is always able to be so flexible or that anyone should take advantage of her nice and accommodating nature! Just saying that for me, she is a great combination of organised and laid back.
Can't leave out to mention either, how she comes across as a highly caring and nurturing person and someone who children naturally will be drawn to and feel comfortable and secure with.
