My Experience

With experience as a primary school teacher, English tutor, babysitter, and family caregiver, I am comfortable supporting children of different ages and personalities. I can assist with schoolwork and reading, plan creative and educational activities, organise outings and outdoor play, prepare simple meals, and manage routines such as bath time and bedtime.

My Qualifications

I hold a First Class BA (Hons) degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, which has given me excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of child development through literacy, learning, and education.

I have professional experience working with children as an English tutor and as a teacher of primary school-aged children in Mexico, where I planned lessons, supported learning goals, and helped children develop confidence and communication skills. Through these roles, I have gained experience working with children from a variety of backgrounds and adapting my approach to individual needs.

In addition, I have many years of informal childcare experience through babysitting and helping care for my younger cousin since birth. This has included everything from reading, creative play, and outdoor activities to helping with homework, preparing meals, and supporting bedtime routines.

I hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate and am committed to providing safe, responsible, and nurturing care. My combination of academic achievement, teaching experience, and hands-on childcare experience enables me to support both children's educational development and their emotional wellbeing.
