Nanny-Housekeeper / Family Assistant
We're a friendly family based in Essex, looking for a warm, reliable, professional and proactive Nanny-Housekeeper / Family Assistant to become a trusted extra pair of hands in our home.
Childcare will be primarily focused on our 15-month-old toddler, with occasional care of our newborn, including caring for both together when needed. Experience with babies and young toddlers is therefore highly desirable.
We also have three older children aged 5, 9 and 12 who are around the home, although childcare will not be required for them.
The role will be varied and flexible, combining childcare of our younger 2 with household support to help keep our busy family home running smoothly.
My Requirements
Hours:
Approx 20hours/week. Ideally Mondays (08:30 - 16:30) & Wednesdays (08:30 - 16:30) & Friday morning. Flexibility around hours is preferred.
The role will be varied and flexible, combining childcare and household support depending on the needs of our family each day. Childcare will be focused on our young toddler, whilst mum manages newborn, however on occasion care may be required for both toddler and newborn together. Experience caring for newborns and young toddlers is therefore highly desirable, with confidence caring for either child independently and both together when needed.
Housekeeping duties include:
- General household cleaning and keeping the home well maintained, including vacuuming, mopping, kitchen and bathrooms
- Laundry, ironing and changing bed linen
- Tidying, organising and keeping on top of household jobs
- Preparing simple meals for toddler.
We’re looking for someone kind, reliable, professional, organised and flexible, who is proactive and confident using their own initiative, while communicating well and working closely with Mum to ensure the needs of the children (toddler and newborn) and household are well supported.
Driving license desirable.
Hourly rate dependent on experience.
