My Summary

My Experience

I have over 5 years of experience volunteering with children through Stagecoach Banbury, Jado Kuin Do Brackley and FS Dance School in Buckingham. At Stagecoach and FS Dance School, I supported children through performing arts activities, helping with rehearsals, encouraging participation and making sure children felt comfortable. At Jado Kuin Do, I helped during martial arts sessions, supporting children with activities, encouraging focus and helping them work towards their belts. As a black belt myself, I was able to support younger students as they developed their skills and confidence.

I studied BA (Hons) Education at the University of York, where I developed an understanding of child development, psychology and the different ways children learn. My degree also helped me understand the importance of learning both inside and outside the classroom.

Alongside this, I gained practical experience in schools. I spent an academic year in a Year 4 class at Brackley Junior School, completed a KS2 placement at Deramore Primary School in York, and supported Spanish lessons during a secondary placement at Fulford High School.

Through these experiences, I have worked with children of different ages and learnt how to adapt to their personalities, interests and needs.
