My Summary
About Me
Hiya! I'm a 23-year-old Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting children and young people to thrive both academically and personally. I am caring, patient, and enthusiastic, with experience working with children across a range of ages and abilities.
Due to my experience and passion in educational and developmental psychology, I am particularly interested in tutoring, homework support and SEN provision. Personally and academically I am interested in theories of education, and I support the use of restorative practices as well as critical approaches to childminding, where learning is shaped by the child's interest and input.
My hope is to contribute to creating kind children who are interested in their community, curious about the world around them, and confident to thrive as young individuals!
My Experience
I'm currently working as a support worker in an SEN secondary school. Previously, I have worked in SEN nursery/kindergarten and post-16 educational settings, supporting children and young people with diverse learning, developmental, and additional needs. As a result, I feel confident working with a wide range of ages and abilities.
In these roles, I've assisted students with academic support for various examinations such as GCSE Maths and English, Functional Skills and A-Levels. Recently, I've been trained on Fresh Start, a phonics intervention program used across primary and secondary schools to assist with reading. Thus, I feel confident in supporting your child/young person with their studies as we as well!
I have an enhanced DBS check in place.
Alongside my professional experience, I have provided babysitting for children with and without SEN my entire life. From cousins to neighbours to professional babysitting, I've spent more than a decade in childcare settings. Though I'm not first aid trained, I also have experience working with a range of medical needs, such as diabetes and epilepsy.
My Qualifications
I have a first-class honours degree in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences. I completed various trainings in trauma-informed care, restorative practices, safeguarding and SEN-focused approaches to childcare and education.

I work full-time, so I'm mostly free after school (4 pm onwards) and evenings, as well as weekends.
