Martha
Babysitter in London
My Summary
About Me
Hello, my name is Martha, and I worked for Busy Bees Nursery for 1 ½ years before relocating to Camberwell, London.
In 2024, I graduated with a BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre, where I focused on costume design. My degree taught me the art of storytelling, a skill I now bring into my practice to engage young children’s imagination through stories and song to focus learning.
I am a warm, creative and caring nanny who loves spending time supporting children as they learn, grow and explore the world around them. I am an outdoorsy person and am often found enjoying London’s beautiful parks! I believe childhood should be full of fun and creativity, so I am always happy to get messy with arts and crafts, outside play etc.
I strive to build genuine connections with the families I work for, creating positive environments where children can be themselves. I am currently looking for casual nannying work alongside my theatre career and would love to support a family seeking a kind and reliable caregiver.
My Experience
Through my work as a nursery practitioner and privately for families, I focus on creating a rich and stimulating environment that supports vocabulary development and prepares children for future education. I believe in the importance of strong, respectful relationships between nursery and home and strive to maintain open, positive communication with parents and carers at all times.
I have primarily worked with children aged 1–3 years old, supporting them through key stages of their early development. I am passionate about supporting children to be curious learners, interested in themselves and filled with questions about the world around them. My aim is to ensure their early years are filled with discovery and joy.
Alongside my early years experience, I have also worked with older children as a Guide Leader for a Rainbows group, where I provided dedicated one-to-one support for a blind child. This role strengthened my understanding of inclusive practice and the importance of adapting activities to meet each child's individual needs.
I hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification and an active DBS check. I also have GCSEs in English and Maths and am happy to assist with homework and educational activities where needed.
