My Experience

I am an experienced and dedicated primary teacher with 12 years of teaching experience, specialising in Key Stage 1. Throughout my career, I have taught across the primary age range, with the majority of my experience in Year 1 and Year 2. I have successfully led four Year 2 classes within a large four-form entry school, developing a strong understanding of the curriculum and how to support children to achieve their full potential.

I offer personalised tutoring and home education support that is tailored to each child's individual needs, strengths, and interests. I have extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and am skilled at adapting lessons to help every child feel confident, engaged, and successful.

I am particularly passionate about early reading and phonics and have supported many children in successfully passing the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics while nurturing confidence and independence.

I believe learning should be enjoyable and inspiring. With a love of drama, singing, and dancing, I bring creativity, energy, and fun into my sessions, helping children stay motivated and engaged. Through games, storytelling, movement, and interactive activities, I create a positive learning environment where children can thrive.

My aim is to make learning meaningful, enjoyable, and rewarding, helping every child develop confidence, make progress, and foster a lifelong love of learning.
