My Experience

My experience working with people, particularly in people-facing and community roles, has shaped me into a calm, attentive, and warm presence.

With three years of experience as a front-of-the-house staff member at major cafes, I have built the skills of precision, punctuality, calmness, attention, and reliability. As a subwarden at Lilian Knowles House, I was the go-to person for a large and diverse community of young people, supporting them through personal difficulties, organising wellbeing events, and always making sure people felt looked after. That role taught me how to read a room, respond with empathy, and handle sensitive situations with discretion. I also have experience in organising and coordinating workshops and public events at LSE, all roles where reliability, warmth, and professionalism were vital.

In my personal life, I have looked after my younger cousins, nieces, and nephews alone, and this experience shaped how I build a rapport with children, ensure their safety while also making sure they are always learning, and getting the space to express themselves. The experience, personal and professional skills such as strong communication, reliability, and emotional intelligence, paired with a genuine enjoyment of being around people, are consistently demonstrated across everything I take on and aspire to do.

My Qualifications

I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Sociology from Delhi University (ranked no.1 in India), where I engaged in projects that involved in-depth research and qualitative research, where I used my skills of reflection, precision, and empathy to assess issues affecting vulnerable communities and society as a whole.

I am currently completing an MSc in International Social and Public Policy (Development) at the London School of Economics. Owing to my diverse academic journey with consistently high grades, I'm fully equipped to support children with homework and learning across a range of subjects, along with extracurricular activities. I particularly enjoy making ideas accessible and interesting.

Beyond academic and professional qualifications, I'm a singer with a decade worth of training, and I continue to meaningfully engage with music. This skill has given me a strong foundation in discipline, goal-setting, and resilience that I'm keen to pass on to the children I work with.
