I am a mature, responsible and reliable 18-year-old with a genuine passion for working with children. I come from a family where members have careers in education, special educational needs and mental health, which has given me strong role models and a good understanding of the importance of patience, kindness, consistency and emotional wellbeing when supporting children.
I am energetic, playful and enthusiastic, and I enjoy helping children feel safe, happy and confident. I have experience through babysitting, mother’s help, sports coaching, after-school activities and homework support, which has helped me build confidence in working with children of different ages.
I follow instructions well, learn quickly and am committed to doing my best in every role. I understand the importance of being trustworthy, punctual, calm and dependable when caring for children. I am also keen to continue learning and developing my childcare skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping fit, listening to music, makeup and socialising with friends. I am active, friendly and creative, and I would bring warmth, energy and a positive attitude to a nanny or childcare role.
My Experience
I have gained a range of experience working with children of different ages through babysitting, mother’s help, sports coaching and homework support. As a mother’s help, I have supported families with caring for younger children, helping with routines, play, supervision and general support in the home. Through babysitting, I have developed confidence in keeping children safe, engaging them in age-appropriate activities and responding calmly to their needs.
I have also supported younger children through netball coaching and after-school sports sessions. This has helped me develop skills in communication, organisation, patience and encouragement. I have experience helping children follow instructions, work as part of a team, build confidence and enjoy physical activity in a safe and positive environment.
In addition, I have worked with older children by supporting them with homework. This has given me experience in explaining tasks clearly, encouraging independence, building confidence and adapting my approach depending on the child’s needs. Across these roles, I have developed a caring, reliable and responsible approach, with a strong interest in supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development.
My Qualifications
I have completed my GCSEs and have recently completed my A Levels. I have also previously completed first aid training, netball coaching and umpiring qualifications, and the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. These experiences have helped me develop responsibility, teamwork, communication skills and confidence when working with children and young people.
My Availability
From September, I will be available full time. I can work until 8pm and am flexible with days and hours to meet the needs of the family.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)
I am flexible with my fees as I am gaining experience.
