Lina Mar
Nursery Nurse in Liverpool (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
Experienced Nanny & Psychologist
About Me
Hello! My name is Lina, and I am a caring, responsible, and reliable nanny with a background in Psychology (B.a.).
I have experience caring for children and supporting their emotional well-being. Having lived in France, I looked after two young girls, helping with school routines, extra-curricular activities, and creating a safe, happy environment. My psychology background allows me to understand children's emotional needs and encourage their confidence, independence and healthy development. Correspondingly, I develop activities that aim at stimulating their development and emotional well-being (based on their needs).
I am very pluralistic in terms of the activities I proposes: I enjoy planning creative and educational activities, reading stories, arts and crafts, outdoor playing, and support children with homework. I also love introducing children to the Spanish language and culture through fun games and conversations (if parents are interested).
I understand how important it is for parents to feel that their children are safe, happy and well cared for. In this respect, I always aim to build trusting and dialogical relationships with both children and their families.
I am based in Liverpool and would be delighted to support your family. I look forward to hearing from you! Best wishes.
My Experience
I am a qualified and licensed psychologist (in Colombia) with a deep passion for emotional well-being and child development. My degree is officially recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS Graduate Membership). This background allows me to support children not just with their practical daily routine, but also with their emotional growth, resilience, and confidence. I have international experience in childcare and youth accompaniment. Recently, in France, I was responsible for the daily after-school care of two young girls, safely managing their commutes, supervising their routines, and creating a secure, trusting environment, while helping develop their own personality. To enrich their experience, I designed active language and cultural exchange workshops (combining Spanish and French) tailored to support their overall psychological well-being. Additionally, I have extensive community experience organizing support groups and workshops focused on emotional management and mental health. I also have a specialisation in School & Child Inclusion, and Universal Design for Learning (DUA), which equips me with excellent strategies to support children with diverse learning needs as well as those who require a more inclusive approach.
